Rustic Solid Wood Bed
An original bed inspired by medieval craftsmanship, natural forms and the strength of solid wood. Tall carved headboards, pronounced posts and forged details create a distinctive piece of furniture with a subtly Gothic character.
Every detail was made by hand — from the shaping of the headboards to the relief endings of the posts. The bed is not only a place to sleep, but a strong centrepiece of the space and an independent object with its own story.
For this project, I used beams from the old roof structure of a house that was destined for demolition after a flood.
