Wooden sculptures and monumental carvings are created from a direct encounter with wood as a living material. I work with trunks, massive pieces of timber and naturally shaped forms that already carry their own strength, grain, tension and memory.
Some works grow from large tree trunks, where the first shape is often found through rough carving and the gradual release of a figure hidden in the wood. Others are smaller sculptural objects, masks, bowls or ritual forms, where detail, touch and inner expression become more important.
What connects these works is the search for a form that does not overpower the material, but allows it to speak. Each piece carries traces of handwork, tools, time and attention — becoming not only a wooden object, but a presence with its own character, silence and strength.
