Works
Wooden sculptures and monumental carvings are created from a direct encounter with wood as a living material. I work with trunks, massive pieces of timber and naturally shaped forms that already carry their own strength, grain, tension and memory.
Some works grow from large tree trunks, where the first shape is often found through rough carving and the gradual release of a figure hidden in the wood. Others are smaller sculptural objects, masks, bowls or ritual forms, where detail, touch and inner expression become more important.
What connects these works is the search for a form that does not overpower the material, but allows it to speak. Each piece carries traces of handwork, tools, time and attention — becoming not only a wooden object, but a presence with its own character, silence and strength.

Ash Wood Mask
The mask was created as a personal gift for a close friend. Its shape grew from the natural grain and cracks of the ash wood, which I did not see as flaws, but as part of its expression and story.
Into the sculpture, I placed the intention of supporting the healthy expression of anger — the ability to recognise one’s own strength, give it space, and not let it turn against oneself or against others. Log Sculptures
Work on each piece begins with carving by chainsaw, revealing the first outlines. This is followed by handwork — chisels, grinders and time — through which the wood gains its character, depth and expression.
