The sauna by the forest lodge was created as a separate space set within a quiet natural environment. Its design grew from the place itself — from the forest, the changing seasons and the need to create a setting for warmth, rest and gathering.
The building was designed for a specific place and for the way it would be used. In addition to the sauna area, it offers a covered outdoor seating space and a place for cooling down, slowing down and spending time in nature.
Wood, light and contact with the forest come together here as one whole: the sauna is not separated from its surroundings, but becomes a natural part of them.
